Eco Flyers: Save the Earth, go green!!

These days there has been an increasing awareness about environment. Due to growing needs and requirements, there has been more and more use of paper. For this, more number of trees are fell down. This affects the environment in a great way. To find a solution to this, eco friendly papers are used for printing. Thus, eco friendly flyers or ‘eco flyers’ are made. These are printed on eco friendly or recycled paper. Also, apart from the recycled paper, non chemical based inks are used. This takes off extra stress and pressure from environment. Since flyers are printed in large scale, a lot of paper is used for these. After distributing, these litter the road, blocking roads, drains etc. These same flyers can then be collected back, and recycled to get fresh paper.

The eco flyers or eco flyer printing is a better way of saving costs also. These look better than the usual flyers, and have the same gloss or shine as the other flyers. This will save trees also.

For any kind of printer, 90% of paper pulp is made of wood. For this, trees are felled down. Cutting trees for paper accounts for 35% of tree cutting. This means that for papers only, such a large amount of resources is wasted. As such, it is better to save these for other important uses, and use recycling of papers for printing of advertisement and promotional contents.

Eco flyer printing involves use of not only recycled paper, but also the non chemical based inks. Use of chemical based inks harms the environment in great way. Therefore, it is necessary that ways are devised for minimizing their use. For this, soy oil based inks are used. These inks are obtained from soya plant, and therefore, are bio degradable. As the other inks are petroleum based, these do not get degraded, and remain in the eco system. As against these, the soy inks are degradable, and break down to natural components again.

There are many benefits of eco flyers. First and foremost is the benefit to the environment. Since recycled paper is used for these flyers, the trees are saved. Also, soy ink is used for printing, which further prevents the use of chemicals required for printing. As such least chemicals are dumped in the environment. Another disguised benefit of eco flyers is that eco friendly printing for promotional activities creates a positive image of the company and organization in the minds of people. It creates goodwill for the company in the market, and works as a marketing tool itself.
